Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what Recasto collects, how we use it, and the choices you have when using the website, dashboard, free tools, and related services.
1. Information we collect
Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, workspace name, login method, and communication preferences.
Content you provide, such as notes, links, documents, images, product details, campaign briefs, draft text, comments, replies, and other materials you upload or paste into Recasto.
Usage information, such as pages viewed, tools used, feature interactions, approximate time of activity, browser type, device information, and diagnostic logs.
Billing information, if you choose a paid plan. Payments may be handled by a third-party payment provider, and Recasto does not need to store full payment card numbers.
Integration information, if you connect third-party services, such as channel names, account identifiers, permissions granted, scheduling choices, publishing status, or metadata needed to operate the integration.
2. Connected social channels, including Pinterest
When you choose to connect a social channel, Recasto uses the provider's authorization flow. We do not ask for or collect your social-network password or session cookies.
For Pinterest, when the integration is available and you choose to connect it, we may process the Pinterest account identifier, the permissions you grant, encrypted access and refresh tokens, board identifiers you select, content you choose to publish, scheduling choices, publishing status, and limited error information needed to operate the connection.
We use connected-channel information only to provide the service to the account holder who authorized it. We do not sell Pinterest API information, share it with other users, or combine one user's Pinterest account information with another user's account information.
We keep only the information needed to operate the connection, user-selected publishing workflow, security controls, and legal obligations. Where Pinterest API information is needed, we seek to retrieve it when needed rather than retain it unnecessarily.
3. How we use information
To provide Recasto's core workflow, including collecting source material, generating marketing plans, drafting content, preparing schedules, organizing libraries, and helping with follow-up.
To operate free tools, generate requested outputs, remember preferences, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability.
To communicate with you about your account, product updates, service messages, support requests, billing, security, and optional marketing emails.
To protect Recasto, users, and the public from spam, abuse, unauthorized access, fraud, and security risks.
To analyze product usage and improve features, content quality, onboarding, performance, and user experience.
4. AI and content processing
Recasto may process your submitted materials with automated systems to generate plans, captions, summaries, tags, replies, and related outputs.
You should avoid uploading sensitive personal information, confidential third-party data, regulated health or financial information, or anything you do not have permission to process.
Generated outputs should be reviewed before publishing, sending, or relying on them.
5. How we share information
Service providers may process information for hosting, storage, analytics, email, support, payments, security, and other business operations.
Connected services may receive information when you authorize an integration or choose to publish, schedule, export, or sync content.
Legal, safety, and compliance disclosures may happen if required by law or if necessary to protect rights, safety, users, or the service.
Business transfers may include information if Recasto is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.
6. Cookies and analytics
Recasto uses essential cookies and local storage for security, sign-in, and required service preferences.
Recasto uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity in a limited cookieless mode for basic measurement before you accept analytics cookies or if you decline them. If you consent, analytics storage is enabled for more complete measurement, continuous sessions, heatmaps, and session replays. Advertising storage and personalization remain disabled, and you can change your choice later from the Cookie Policy page.
Read our Cookie Policy for more detail. You can also adjust browser settings to limit cookies, but some parts of the service may not work correctly without essential storage.
7. Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
You may request deletion of your account or certain content by contacting us. Disconnecting a social channel deletes Recasto's stored connection and credentials for that channel; it does not delete posts already published on the third-party platform.
Some information may remain in backups, logs, billing records, or security records for a limited period when necessary.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Connected-channel credentials are encrypted at rest and access is limited to the authorized account and systems needed to provide the connection.
No online service is perfectly secure, so you should use a secure login method and avoid submitting materials that should not be processed online.
9. Your choices and rights
You can choose what materials to submit, whether to connect third-party services, and whether to receive optional marketing emails.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain personal information. You may also have the right to object to certain processing or withdraw consent where consent is used.
To make a privacy request, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
10. Children
Recasto is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. International use
If you use Recasto from outside the country where our systems or providers operate, your information may be processed in another jurisdiction with different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as Recasto changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
