Prepare your images for LinkedIn

  • Keep important text and subjects near the center to reduce cropping.
  • A profile cover is much wider than a Feed image. Check its preview carefully.
  • Use Adjust before downloading to keep faces, products, and important text inside the crop area.
  • Start with a clear, high-resolution original. Enlarging a small image cannot recover missing detail.
  • LinkedIn may compress images again or display them differently across devices.

Frequently asked questions

What image sizes does this tool produce?

The target sizes are 1200 × 628 pixels for landscape Feed images, 1200 × 1200 for square Feed images, 1080 × 1350 for portrait Feed images, and 1584 × 396 for personal profile covers. Output dimensions may be reduced to meet the file size limit; check the dimensions shown with each preview.

Will my image be cropped or stretched?

Your image is resized proportionally and cropped to fit the selected format, without stretching. The crop starts centered, so parts of the original may be removed when its proportions differ from the target.

Can I adjust the crop?

Yes. Choose Adjust beneath a preview, then drag the crop area or use the arrow keys to reposition it. Choose Apply crop to update that format; your other previews stay unchanged.

Which file format will I download?

Images without transparency download as JPEG. Images with an alpha channel download as PNG to preserve transparency, including when the uploaded file is WebP.

Are my images saved?

No. Images are processed in request memory and returned directly to your browser. They are not stored in your account.

What file size limits do the outputs meet?

Feed images are no larger than 5 MB. Personal profile covers are no larger than 8 MB.

Does this support company page covers?

This tool produces personal profile covers. Company page covers use different dimensions and are not included.
